Sabato 28 Giugno ore 20 // il 28 giugno a Palazzo Rospigliosi, nel centro storico di Zagarolo. Alle ore 20 gli artisti bengalesi Milon Mela proporranno uno spettacolo di musica e danza indiana: canti Baul, danze tradizionali Chhau e Gatipua, Kalaripayattu, Yoga. L’evento include: “Sulla Riva del Gange: Benares 1935-55”, esposizione di fotografie di Raymond Burnier e Alain Daniélou.

The Shantiniketan-based group of Indian artists Milón Méla Theatre Group will bring to a close the 2014 Mela Celebrations with an street parade and an evening performance in the gardens of Palazzo Rospigliosi in Zagarolo. Milón Méla, directed by Abani Biswas (founder of the Calcutta Living Theatre), brings together 11 artists representing five different disciplines from various regions of India:

The group is well-known internationally for its stage performances and powerful street parades; spectacular exhibition of diverse skills inspired by the traditional repertoire of Indian performance arts. Since 1990, Milón Méla has held numerous workshops and conferences both in India and abroad, in collaboration also with leading cultural institutions and universities.
